Why the text stays in your browser
Every counter, converter and cleaner here is plain JavaScript that runs on your device after the page loads. You can switch off Wi-Fi and they keep working. That matters when the text is a contract, a patient letter or unpublished work.
The counts are careful about Unicode: a family emoji counts as one character, an accented letter typed as e plus a combining accent counts as one, and the case converter knows that Turkish “i” uppercases to “İ”. The tools are covered by automated tests for exactly those cases.
What the AI tools do
The grammar checker, paraphraser and summarizer need a language model. They send your text, capped at 6,000 characters, only when you press the button, and the grammar checker highlights every change so nothing slips past you. Need to compare two versions of a text? That lives on our sister site textdiff.io.
